!!!NEW VOLUNTEERS!!!

What will you be doing as a volunteer?

As a volunteer in our organization you can help in these ways: English Teaching for children, Organic Farming, Construction Work, Yoga teaching for children, Guiding Art Workshops and other Creative Workshops like Theater, Singing, Music etc. with children. Besides these there are many continuous activities; like cooking for about 40 children, cleansings and many, many more. If you don't have any experience or special knowledge in any of these fields, we will gratefully introduce you!

Where and in which conditions will you be volunteering?

As the organization is located in Cruz Verde - Quehuapay (30 minutes from Cusco City Center) all your activities will take place exactly there, the land has a size of about 1600m2. The size of the team varies from a minimum of 3 up to over 10 people, whereby most of the people are volunteers. The farm is on 3800 meters above sea level which means usually very hot sun during the day, and quite cold nights. Bring enough warm stuff to wear as well as a sleeping bag or a sufficiently warm blanket! In the rain season (December-March) it is quite important to bring boots and rain protection. The expected working hours per day are from Monday to Friday 0900am-0500pm, this timetable is very flexible, so must be the volunteer.

Fees and cost:

Accommodation is free! That means that we don't charge, but gratefully accept a donation for the continuation of our service. As food is concerned, the cost for the weekly needs is shared in between everybody.

Volunteer requirements:

The volunteers do not necessarily need to know Spanish, of course it is helpful, especially to communicate with the children. The responsible people are fluent in English, Spanish, German and French. There is no such thing as a minimum period, but we kindly ask volunteers to at least stay for a week! The volunteer should be at least 18, but we also accept families with children of minor age. As you will be working in the above mentioned fields it is of advantage and really welcome, but not necessary, to have knowledge or experience with teaching, children, organic gardening, construction work, languages, Yoga & Meditation.

Other information:

At the farm you have beautiful view over the Andes, it is country-side and not many neighbors, so generally quite. We have a cat and a dog. We generally do not take alcohol on the premises and please do not smoke inside the rooms or while in contact with the children. There is no hot shower at the moment but always water available. There is no internet available, the next call center is 15 minutes walking, so is the bus station and the next store and market.

If you feel you have something in you to give, we are waiting for you so please contact us today! Many thanks for your voluntary services and your best intentions!
